Inspired by the great jazz songwriters from Cole Porter to Randy Newman, Chris Read is an "up-and-coming talent" ( of the UK music scene, and is bringing his unique compositions back to Crazy Coqs. Over the last few years his songwriting has taken him to the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Lincoln Centre in New York and to venues and festivals all around the UK.

As well as touring with comedy-jazz-rap duo, Harry and Chris, he has written for stage and screen. In this special one-off show he will be playing music from his new self-penned album, Songs Between Songs.

"Honey-toned singer and jazz guitarist Chris Read... somehow manages to be exhilarating and blissed-out all at the same time" - Scotsman

"Chris was fantastic last night, revving up the crowded hall like a youthful Mel Tormé. He has a great career in front of him. Chris Read is brilliant" - Richard Compton Miller, Evening Standard
