On our wall

“The artwork that adorns our bar is the full collection of Paul Colin’s portfolio of lithographs, entitled ‘Le Tumulte Noir’. The collection is an homage to Josephine Baker, the dancer, singer, civil rights activist and serial adopter of children! Paul Colin helped to launch Baker’s career and she subsequently became his muse and lover. The works, published in 1927, beautifully evoke this exuberant era in Paris.”
