Following a sold out debut in January, Dom Pipkin is back by popular demand at Crazy Coqs!

One of the most authentic and spirited players of blues and jazz piano in Europe today, Pipkin has appeared live all around the world, and on TV and radio, winning and wowing fans with his electrifying live performances. Here he returns to present his acclaimed one man show - a rollercoaster ride through the rich musical world of New Orleans, featuring astonishing stories and some truly breathtaking piano.

Brothels and barrelhouses, love, sex and tragedy, chasing the 'rushin' lady', voodoo spells and Mardi Gras Queens, the colourful lives of Jelly Roll Morton, Professor Longhair and the drug-fuelled funk and psychedelia of Dr John and James Booker are conjured up in all their technicolour glory in their rawest setting - a man, a piano, a glass of bourbon and panama hat. The show has been a hit with audiences, being both informative and musically thrilling, as well as hugely entertaining. Jamie Cullum says "I can't hold a candle to this guy", and Paloma Faith adds "When Dom plays the piano magic happens."

Pipkin has performed extensively in New Orleans, and shared stages with international icons Allen Toussaint , Dr John , and Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Grammy award winner Jon Cleary invites him to jam onstage whenever he's in town. His experiences are real and resonating. His work has ranged from teaching Jonathan Ross the piano to privately entertaining the film director Stanley Kubrick. He has recorded and toured with countless artists, including Paul Weller, Paloma Faith, Ray Davis, David Byrne, and Laura Mvula.
