Dubbed the “short story specialists” by The Sunday Times, WORDTheatreUK is a charitable organisation that creates bespoke events for adult and student audiences on a mission to connect people with beautifully crafted literary events that celebrate being human.
Great actors step into the finest contemporary short stories with the authors present in our signature Author • Actor Series. Each year we partner with writer/editor Nicholas Royle and authors we have discovered in his celebrated Best British Short Stories series.
Brilliant British: Lingering Loves features actors Ben Miller (Professor T.), Tara Summers (Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed) & Gary Kemp (The Kemps: All Gold) reading Ben Tufnell’s “Sand,” Lucy Thynne’s “Philosophy,” and Graham Mort’s “Celia,” respectively.
Music provided by saxophonist Derek Nash. All authors will be attending.
A WORDTheatreUK Production. Curated & directed by Cedering Fox. Produced by Kirsty Peart & Cedering Fox.
Appearances subject to final availability. Tickets are transferable but not refundable.
