TJ Johnson Sings: ‘Just in Time’

In this special concert celebrating the great male Jazz and blues Singers such as Joe Williams, Big Joe Turner, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and Jimmy Witherspoon, TJ lays his piano skills to one side and grabs the mic to stand Up Front and belt out some edgy blues, swing some classic standards and croon some plaintive heart rendering ballads and saloon songs.

TJ Johnson is widely considered to be one of the UK’s most charismatic highly revered Jazz and Blues singers.

He first sprang on to the Jazz scene in the late 80’s as a jazz singer with Max Collie at the age of 17 and since forming his own band in 1990 has performed extensively for over thirty years now at many Theatres, Festivals and Jazz clubs both in the UK and overseas and has sold out at Ronnie Scott’s more than ten times.

In this performance of Jazz and Blues Gems, TJ will be accompanied by The Denny Ilett Trio. Denny leads this group of world class international jazz musicians all of whom have a long list of achievements and endorsements to their name.
