The Rhythm Rascals

A fresh inclusive and international collective of today’s top players and rising stars of old time ‘vintage’ swing.
Tonight we debut rising star Thimo Niesterok on trumpet (Germany), Lorenzo Cortes on guitar (Colombia), London resident Joplin Parnell on piano (USA), Harry Evans on bass (UK), and vocal refrains by Ali Affleck (Scotland /Usa).

Although some of the names may be unfamiliar to you (for now!) all of them have solid careers in mainland Europe – we are keen to introduce them to the friendly audiences of London!

This bold swing music is as vibrant and relevant today as it was in the dance halls of the 1920s and 1930s, and The Rhythm Rascals aim to embrace our 21st-century ears with the same rapture and joyful spirit that the original composers intended.
