‘Robert has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard.’
Anne Reid CBE
When two great performers from distinctly different musical genres unite, magic happens. Robert, a titan of musical theatre and Jamie, a virtuoso of jazz, come together once again to deliver an evening
of unparalleled entertainment. Combining Roberts’s powerhouse vocals with Jamie’s virtuoso piano skills, they spark a performance full of fun, excitement and pure joy in Just Amongst Friends 3.
They have achieved individual successes on stage, in concert, and jazz clubs around the world. After their sold-out cabarets at Crazy Coqs” and ‘The Peasantry” in London, they were invited to bring their magic to the prestigious Edinburgh Festival, further solidifying their place as one of the most dynamic duos in music today.
Classical Brit nominee Robert is recognised as one of the West End’s finest voices. He has starred in many of London’s most popular musicals, including Phantom of the Opera, Brigadoon, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma!, Camelot and Dear World. His cabaret shows are critically acclaimed both in London and New York 54 Below, and a PBS special, “An Evening of Alan Jay Lerner’, captured the hearts of audiences across America. His album ” After a Dream” reached no. 2 in the Classical Chart.
Jamie is a much-loved young jazz virtuoso renowned for his masterful piano skills and witty, engaging stage presence. He has collaborated with pop royalty, including Kylie Minogue, Will Young, Clare Teal, Mica Paris, and Julian Clary! Jamie’s one-man shows at Ronnie Scotts and Crazy Coqs have earned him a loyal following, and his work continues to make waves in the jazz world.
An incredible collaboration …. Just Amongst Friends 3 is a night of laughter, stunning music, and a magical fusion of two worlds.
“Robert Meadmore’s gorgeous voice is a genuine thing of beauty and can transform a song. This beautifully paced and arranged show, in duo format with one of the most in-demand pianists on the scene – the waggish and ever-adventurous Jamie Safir, is drenched in soulful music and naughty banter. Let Meadmore’s singing soothe your worries or augment your joys. Don’t miss it”– Ian Shaw.
