  • Lorna Marshall (Rafiki in The Lion King and Mama Morton in Chicago) takes centre stage for a powerhouse celebration of soul royalty, joined by Resounding Harmonies.

Respect the Legacy honours the unforgettable soul, jazz, and gospel music of the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. This electrifying show reimagines some of the greatest musical moments of these eras through Lorna’s commanding voice, magnetic stage presence, and deep-rooted connection to the traditions that inspired them.

Drawing on the richness of gospel and jazz, Lorna delivers performances filled with depth, passion, and unstoppable energy. Her unique sound reflects the influence of iconic artists such as Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, and Soul II Soul, while bringing her own artistry and interpretation to every note.

This is more than a tribute—it is a living, breathing continuation of a musical legacy.

Under the musical direction of Stephen Large and backed by Resounding Harmonies, the performance promises soaring harmonies, spine-tingling moments, and unforgettable music in the intimate, world-class setting of Crazy Coqs. The band features Winston Blissett on bass and Cosimo Keita on drums.

Lorna also steps forward as a songwriter, performing original material inspired by the same timeless soul traditions, yet boldly contemporary and deeply personal. Her songs weave seamlessly amongst the classics, proving that legacy is not only remembered—it continues to evolve.

  • Resounding Harmonies comprises Michelle Parris, Kathy Wilkinson and Sophie Harriot. Resounding Harmonies are each passionate solo singers in their own right and between them have over 30 years of experience of singing, as solo artists, as worship leaders in their churches, in gospel choirs (Soul Sanctuary Gospel Choir and Jabez Family) and individually sung at venues such as the Jazz Café, 606 Jazz Club, Guildford Jazz Festival, St Paul’s Cathedral and the Royal Albert Hall. They have also solo sung internationally in Poland, Denmark, Jamaica and the USA; appeared on TV shows for the BBC and ITV, have done a series of recordings for albums and provided quality vocals for well known artists such as Mica Paris, Rebecca Ferguson & Joe Stilgoe, as well as undertaking a residency at Galleywood Vineyard and Winery in Chelmsford.
