Ilario Ferrari & Omar Puente return to Crazy Coqs after their sold-out shows in 2024 and 2025, bringing their joyful collaboration back to London — this time with special guest Chiara Stroia, twice Latin Grammy-winner singer-songwriter with a deep love and knowledge of Brazilian music.
Together, they weave a vibrant musical journey from Cuba to the Mediterranean, with a beautiful Brazilian breeze along the way — featuring original compositions, Latin jazz favourites, and Brazilian-inspired grooves. Expect virtuoso interplay, warmth, humour, and plenty of audience connection, as the trio turns the room into one shared celebration.
“Omar Puente’s contribution to 20th and 21st century violin playing has now become legendary. His generous nature, his commitment to good music, his enjoyment of life, and his respect for his colleagues are all characteristics that make him a true violin great”
– Nigel Kennedy.
“..This marks his graduation to a bandleader, arranger and composer to match the accomplished soloist”
– Jazzwise on “Best Foot Forward” by Omar Puente
“ Fine soulful vocals from Ferrari, his piano is inventive, often exploring the higher
registers before the trio increases the intensity. Ferrari’s vocals and keyboard work are
on top form..”
– All About Jazz review of “Above The Clouds” by Ilario Ferrari Trio
“Pianist Ilario Ferrari put together an unforgettable show with bassist Charlie Pyne and drummer Katie Patterson. Special guest, Cuban violin virtuoso Omar Puente completed a lineup that explored just about every dimension of musical performance..”
– Dave Keech.
