MeanWeill: Berlin to Broadway (via Paris…)

A show based on the songs of Kurt Weill: his collaborations with Bertolt Brecht in Berlin, with Jacques Deval during his passage in Paris, and then on Broadway, with Maxwell Anderson, Ogden Nash, Ira Gershwin, Elmer Rice and Langston Hughes, among others.

More than just a musical review, MeanWeill is a theatrical piece treating each song as a scene in a play based on a collection of short stories, with the singer and the accordionist/guitarist developing various characters along the way.
