  • Join Maria Kesselman, celebrated West End leading lady, for an unforgettable evening of song, story, and passion. With her rich, expressive voice and magnetic stage presence, Maria takes you on a journey through the worlds of Broadway, Hollywood, Buenos Aires, and Paris.

In “Heroines of Song”, she celebrates the women who have defined generations through music — from the great icons of musical theatre and the silver screen to the fiery spirit of the Argentinian tango and the heartfelt passion of Édith Piaf.

Accompanied by the brilliant James Church on piano, this intimate performance weaves together drama, melody, and emotion in a spellbinding tribute to the power and poetry of song.

Joining Maria will be virtuoso violinist Phoebe Tsang.

Phoebe Tsang has performed across Canada as a soloist, concertmaster, and chamber musician. Now based in the UK, she is active as a tango violinist, collaborating frequently with bandoneonist Leonel Gasso and pianist John Turville. In addition, her recent practice has featured interdisciplinary performance, composition and improvisation. She was commissioned by the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto to create music in response to artworks by Martin Boyce, Kapwani Kiwanga, Phyllida Barlow, and others. Her albums “Button Music” and “The Angel Particle” can be found on the Off record label (Belgium).
