LEGENDS OF SOHO: Digby Fairweather: One Man, Fifty Years, Eighty Minutes

In his brand-new one-man show, broadcaster, author and jazz trumpeter Digby Fairweather combines music, songs and stories (tall and short, mostly happy, a few sad) in an affectionate look back at his fifty-or-more years in the jazz world.

Amid something very close to a friendly fireside chat with music at its heart, expect hilarious tales of his solo years on the jazz roads, affectionate memories of musicians and bands past and present, and more than a little outrageousness in his stories of six years teamed with Britain’s ‘Dean of Decadence’ George Melly.

Along with Digby, his show features both recorded highlights and, most important of all, live music with star guests about whom he says, “I’d be proud to share any stage with them – any time, any place, anywhere!”.
