  • Jazz vocalist Hetty Kate, acclaimed by jazz critic Will Friedwald as “one of the best swing singers on the current scene” and “the real deal,” was born in England, raised in Australia, and has been based in France since 2017. Known for her ‘natural musicality’, clear tone, and impeccable timing, Hetty’s razor-sharp wit sets her apart, skilfully blending poise and humour with a deep respect for the music.

Over the past decade, Hetty has released ten albums, headlined major jazz festivals in Europe, Asia, and Australia, and toured extensively. She notably spent six years as the lead vocalist in Australian jazz legend James Morrison’s quintet, including performances in his award-winning symphonic concert ‘The A to Z of Jazz’.

This concert promises a warm and witty journey through Hetty’s extensive repertoire, featuring a sparkling collection of classics and curios, from Dameron to Brubeck and from Porter to Kern.
