Internationally acclaimed writer, singer, and cabaret star Dr Adam Perchard returns to Crazy Coqs with a dazzling night of comedy, live music, and spoken word. They are joined by two incandescent guest stars: pop sensation Shea and virtuoso electric violinist Alexander Lee-Briard.
Featuring the songs of Stephen Sondheim, Fleetwood Mac, Barbra Streisand, Donna Summer, Pet Shop Boys, and David Bowie as well as spectacular original music, this show will make you laugh, make you cry, make you think – and send you dancing out into the Soho night with a bra full of hope and glitter.
Dr Adam Perchard is a critically-acclaimed playwright, comedian, and visual artist – and an international cabaret star. A regular face on stages across Europe and the US, they have performed at the National Theatre, the London Coliseum, the Institute of Contemporary Arts and on Channel 4. Last year they closed the northernmost literary festival in the world with their one-person play BUNBURYING, and their solo show Bathtime for Britain toured major theatres across the UK. They’ve recently completed a hit run at the Soho Theatre with their show Interview with The Vamp, written and performed with Olivier Award-winning composer Richard Thomas.
Shea is a trained actor, singer, writer and producer from Jersey, currently based in London. His music has been supported by BBC Introducing, and he has received funding from ArtHouse Jersey to produce original music as well as music videos, which are available on YouTube. Shea has performed at festivals (Birmingham Pride, Channel Islands Pride, Good Vibrations) as well as intimate venues. He completed The Songwriting Academy’s Platinum Programme, and is a current member of Music Industry Mentor. His debut EP was released in Spring 2024 and his second EP is set for release in Spring 2025. Shea regularly hosts an LGBT+ showcase at the Two Brewers, in Clapham, and his original stage play, Babygrow, won the Stageworks Playwrighting Competition 2020.
Alexander Lee-Briard is a virtuoso violinist and multi-instrumentalist. He studied under Gerard Le Feuvre. Director of Chetham’s Stephen Threlfall credits him with “one of the most distinct violin sounds I’ve ever heard.” A recording artist for the likes of Ray Hedges and Sony Music, he also plays regularly for Jersey Heritage.
