Comparing Notes brings stars of the West End and Broadway to Crazy Coqs, Live at Zedel. In a lively and informal mix of performance and conversation host Edward Seckerson will be getting up close and personal with these musical theatre luminaries and emerging stars, exploring the stories behind the songs and the personalities behind the artistry.

Alex Young is one of the UK’s most versatile and celebrated musical theatre performers. She is currently starring as Helen Bechdel in Fun Home at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester, and was recently nominated for a WhatsOnStage Award for her performance in Operation Mincemeat in the West End.

Her acclaimed stage career includes roles in Stranger Things: The First Shadow, Standing at the Sky’s Edge, Cold War, Into the Woods, South Pacific, Follies, Carousel and Show Boat. A favourite at the Sheffield Crucible, she has collaborated extensively with directors Daniel Evans and Robert Hastie in productions including Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls, She Loves Me and Coriolanus. Renowned for her wit, warmth and exceptional vocal talent, Alex has established herself as one of British theatre’s most distinctive leading ladies.
