  • Show Description
  • After working together on the exceptional run of the jazz musical Play On! with Talawa Theatre Company, Cameron Bernard Jones (actor, singer and poet) decided to team up with Luke Bacchus (pianist and leader of the Luke Bacchus Trio) to continue to tell stories through music. What was birthed was an intimate evening of jazz, poetry and soul.

Fusing Jones’ versatile theatrical experience and fervent poetic vision with Bacchus’ vast jazz expertise and undeniably superb musicianship, the collaboration will chronicle themes of love and longing. Jones and the Trio will perform covers of great love songs ranging from the classic jazz era of Nat King Cole and Duke Ellington, to the modern R&B/soul era of Jill Scott and Gregory Porter, and more. Expect class, sophistication, and warmth balanced with introspection, eccentricity and freedom
