  • Following sell-out shows at Ronnie Scott’s in 2022 and a successful UK tour, the evening will unveil a suite of songs taken from her highly-acclaimed new studio album – When Winter Turns To Spring – released in December 2022 – an achingly beautiful jazz journey through the seasons.

“The evening will celebrate songs that touch on the idea of nature and the trials and tribulations of the heart. I’ll be playing numbers from Weathering The Storm and The Heart Wants, and performing songs from When Winter Turns To Spring. Of course, there will also be a liberal sprinkling of some of the ageless seasonal classics that have formed the soundtrack of my life, taking the audience on a journey that goes from Autumn In New York all the way through to You Must Believe In Spring.”

Hailed as one of the brightest new jazz stars to emerge in years, Harrop possesses what The Mirror describes as ‘a voice that would give a goosebump goosebumps – deep, warm and deliciously intimate,’ whilst the legendary Iggy Pop was instantly captivated: “Her voice is delicious. When she sings, she moves me. I believe her.”

Born in Durham and raised on a heady musical diet of Nina Simone and Aretha Franklin, Jo Harrop moved to London and quickly established herself as one of the most unmistakable voices in British jazz.
