  • Ahmed Harfoush and Sara Lynam join forces again at Crazy Coqs, this time to celebrate the artistry of legendary composer Irving Berlin.

    Join them to celebrate the birthday of an artist whose work now forms the backbone of the Great American Songbook, and who provided songs for many of Broadway’s biggest hits including The Ziegfeld Follies, Annie Get Your Gun, Call me Madam and White Christmas. 

    They will be joined by long-time collaborator Stefano Marzanni on the piano.

  • British-New Zealand Sara Lynam performs across a variety of genres including musical theatre, concerts and vice over.  Engagements include WEST SIDE STORY and WONDERFUL TOWN in concert with the Cambridge Philharmonic, Jubilee Climax SAUCY JACK AND THE SPACE VIXENS for Two Box Productions, Lyre/Caroline/La Llorona UNCANNY TALES and Aunt Em/The Wicked Witch of the West THE WIZARD OF OZ  for Pandemonium Performance and her voice over performances can be heard as Miss Johnson THE CHRISTCHURCH MURDER for BBC Radio 4, and for ITV’s I’M A CELEBRITY… GET ME OUT OF HERE! 

    Ahmed Harfoush is an Egyptian jazz vocalist based in London. Harfoush has appeared around the world including in Damascus with New York City’s Chris Byars Jazz Quartet, in Cambridge with the Cambridgeshire Youth Orchestra and in Skopje with the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra.  He founded the HarfousH Jazz Band in London and in 2015 launched the Egyptian Jazz Projekt featuring jazz arrangements of iconic Egyptian pop songs performed alongside selections from the Great American Songbook. The Egyptian Jazz Projekt has played at the Brighouse Art Festival in Leeds, The Egyptian Art Academy (Rome), the Egyptian Culture Centre (London), The Gomhoureyya Theatre (Cairo), Bibliotheka Alexandrina (Alexandria, Egypt), the Underbelly Gallery and Brixton Ritzy (London), the Egyptian Embassies in Berlin and Vienna in 2018, the Egyptian Embassy in Melbourne Australia, the London Jazz Festival in 2018 and 2019, Dubai Opera in 2018 and a sell-out appearance at the Elgar Room of the Royal Albert Hall.
