This winter at Bar Américain, we’re inviting you on a special journey. Inspired by the golden age of ocean liner travel, our new Voyage of Discovery cocktail menu follows a transatlantic journey from Prohibition-era New York – with its underground speakeasies and clandestine cocktails – to counter-culture Paris, capital of intellectual debate and free-thinking.
From New York to Paris…
Paying homage to two dynamic continents and the journey that unfolds between them, our limited-edition menu features six cocktails and two specials. From a bold and adventurous take on the Negroni, to an elegant champagne cocktail with a hint of spice, each offers a playful twist on the glamour of 1930s ocean liner travel.

Six playful serves
DECO D’OR
Combining the DNA of a Daiquiri with deep, fruity notes of rhubarb, plum and raspberry, this serve is finished with vegan yogurt clarification for a silky, clear and pleasingly sour finish.
PIER 88
Fittingly intense and moody, this grown-up cocktail is built around a beurre noisette fat-washed cognac, layered with cocoa- nib-infused Averna, Ardbeg Scotch and sweet vermouth, lifted by blood orange.
VELVET VOYAGE
Elegant, easy to drink and memorable, this is a classic champagne cocktail, elevated by a homemade spiced camomile cordial.
THE STEAMER SMOKE
Bold and adventurous, this Negroni-style serve features smoky mezcal in place of the usual base spirit, combined with a coffee-laced bitterness for sophisticated appeal.
BLUE RIBAND
Bright and playful, this clarified milk punch is underscored with raspberry and banana notes for a playful, velvet-smooth fruit edge.
THE NORMANDIE
Cosseting and embracing on wintry evenings, this is a satisfyingly long serve with carbonated spiced apple notes, while Amontillado sherry and date introduce nutty depth.
