  • With what Record Collector magazine calls her “dizzying reputation as a songwriter and performer”, Critically acclaimed Anglo-American songstress Sarah Gillespie fuses jazz, blues, and folk with her trademark poetic lyrics. Her five albums have received outstanding reviews  , and she has toured extensively across Europe, the UK, and the USA for 15 years, including headline shows at Ronnie Scott’s and the Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room. She has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Loose Ends, and Start the Week, discussing politics and the arts.

Tonight, Sarah hits the stage with her electrifying “savvy, sensitivity and wit”, showcasing brand-new songs from her upcoming album with renowned composer and guitarist Chris Montague. Expect dirty dissonant blues, folky stories and gritty poetics delivered with swagger and infectious melodies.

James Maddren on drums, Loz Garrett on bass.

Support from Californian singer-songwriter and pianist  Storey Smith, whose debut EP will be released on Sarah’s label, Pastiche Records.
