  • Michael Dore, singing star & international vocal coach, returns to Crazy Coqs, his favourite cabaret venue, after 10 years of sold-out performances.

    This time the audience can ask questions about his long career in the music business.. from being part of the multi Grammy Award winning Swingle Singers to studio sessions for over 300 films and from performing on stages all over the world like the Sydney Opera House and New York’s Carnegie Hall to coaching leading film stars including Taron Egerton & Broadway star Jeremy Jordan, Michael has done it all. Join him as he shares some of his favourite music and pulls back the curtain to reveal fascinating anecdotes from behind the scenes.

  • MICHAEL DORE’s international career began with the Swingle Singers. Since then, he has been a soloist in the USA, Canada, Europe, Asia and South Africa, often performing with the world’s leading orchestras including the New York & Berlin Philharmonics & the Chicago, Boston, Bangkok & Sydney Symphonies.

    Extensive work with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra includes frequent appearances at the Royal Albert Hall, opening London’s Cadogan Hall & Nigel Hess’s ‘Food of Love’ alongside & Sir Patrick Stewart.

    Michael has regularly performed on BBC Radio’s ‘Friday Night is Music Night’ and in cabaret.

    His recordings include his new critically acclaimed album, ‘Who am I?’, the Grammy award winning ‘Dreamhouse’, three recordings of Berio’s ‘Sinfonia’, Sondheim’s ‘Passion’ (original London cast), four albums with the BBC Concert Orchestra and four with the RPO, including “Stage by Stage”.

    Theatre roles have included ‘West Side Story’ with Sir Simon Rattle, ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, ‘Guys & Dolls’ and ‘Candide’.

    His duet partners have included Sarah Brightman and Lorna Luft. He has sung on over 300 film soundtracks, including Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Skyfall & Wonka.

    As a vocal coach he has worked with film & stage actors including Taron Egerton, Jeremy Jordan & Emma Watson, on the TV series ‘Any Dream Will Do’ & The X Factor. He was also vocal consultant on the BBC documentary for Dame Vera Lynn’s 100th birthday.

    Michael’s Variety Club work includes co-hosting and performing for the Iowa Live USA Telethon and his solo concert in Johannesburg, South Africa.
