Nicky Gayner and Tom Wakeley Present: “Listen to Her Heart” – A Celebration of Nancy LaMott’s Timeless Music

“Listen to Her Heart” will bring the spirit of New York cabaret legend Nancy LaMott to London, marking the 30th anniversary of her passing.

This evocative tribute features acclaimed London singer Nicky Gayner, renowned pianist Tom Wakeley, and direction by esteemed composer David Friedman. More than a cabaret, it’s an intimate homage to LaMott’s artistry, showcasing songs by Friedman and others, with arrangements by Christopher Marlowe.

The show transports audiences through poignant melodies, heartfelt lyrics and personal stories that defined LaMott’s career, captivating both fans and newcomers.

For Nicky, the project is deeply personal, as her connection to Nancy’s music is rooted in shared experiences. “If Nancy were alive today, everyone would know her name,” Nicky says.

With Friedman, who produced all of LaMott’s CDs, the show promises an authentic experience, blending New York cabaret with British sensibility to celebrate life, love, and the enduring power of song.
