    Kay Swift, the first woman to write a hit Broadway musical and a distant relative to pop queen Taylor Swift! Ruth Lowe, who penned Frank Sinatra’s first hit, and the story of how Irving Berlin regarded Bernice Petkere as ‘The Queen of Tin Pan Alley’.

    There’ll also be a chance to hear lyricist Dorothy Fields’ hit ‘Big Spender’ played ragtime style!

    Join Kate at the piano as she performs their songs with some of her own compositions, inspired by them.

    Kate Garner is a singer-songwriter with a passion for the songs and stories of the past. She recently presented her own TV series ‘The Stories Behind The Songs’.
