  • Sarah Vaughan & Billy Eckstine, Ella & Louis, Ray Charles & Betty Carter – jazz has a rich history of romantic and swinging duets.  Stellar vocalists Marvin Muoneké and Lydia Bell have a magical chemistry together, and recreate some of the greatest of these duets with the Alex Webb Trio.

Marvin Muoneké has been dubbed ‘The Young Man with The Old Soul’ and once you hear his voice and style, you’ll understand why. With a rich, velvety voice that’s been likened to Nat ‘King’ Cole and Billy Eckstine, Marvin is also a gifted songwriter, arranger and trumpet player.

Lydia Bell is a jazz vocalist with a classic, timeless sound inspired by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, and Peggy Lee. A Masters graduate in Jazz Performance from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, she has performed widely with leading UK bands, most notably Down For The Count, at venues including Ronnie Scott’s, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and Cadogan Hall. She is also a member of the acclaimed London Vocal Project, directed by Pete Churchill, and is known for bringing both warmth and storytelling to the stage.
