  • Jazz singer, Anais Reno, aged 18, has many accolades to her name. Anais has been called a “musical prodigy” by many, and Broadway World’s Stephen Mosher, “a once in a lifetime voice”.  Her first cd, recorded at age 16, went to no6 on the jazz chart.

    Anais will bring her love of jazz and the Great American Songbook to London, with soulful interpretations of standards with jazz pianist, Pete Malinverni.

  • At 18, Anais Reno is a graduate of Laguardia High school in drama, and is now a freshman in the jazz program at Suny Purchase. Winning the Forte International Competition, Michael Feinstein Competition, The Mable Mercer Competition, the Julie Wilson award and a winner and Finalist in Young Arts, Anais has performed in NY at important venues like David Geffen hall, with the NY Philharmonic, Birdland multiple times, Chris’ jazz cafe in Philadelphia, Carnegie Hall,  and many others.

    Her album, Lovesome Thing, which was recorded with  the Emmet Cohen  trio with Harbinger Records when Anais was 16, received critical acclaim, and rose to no 6 on the jazz chart. Anais was featured on the New York State of Mind video with Idina Manzel and Stephen Colbert and was on national tv singing “America the beautiful” for the Met/Yankees 9/11 game, last year. Anais recently recorded an album of all Tad Dameron songs with Gary Smulyan, which will be released in the fall.

    Anais recently completed a tour in the midwest and in London, as well as filling in at a week long residency for Tierney Sutton at Birdland. Upcoming solo shows are at Birdland on 7/4, Symphony Space, Detroit, Philadelphia and she will be in Tod machover’s opera, Valis, in Boston at MIT.
