  • Show description
  • Starring Tony Award winner Frances Ruffelle & West End leading man Norman Bowman, The Scot & The Showgirl is a true(ish)wee musical thingamajig about a perfectly imperfect relationship that began 28 years ago at Edinburgh Waverley train station.

    She, a Broadway icon.
He, a Scottish musical theatre lover- with a tilt to his kilt (and currently in Regent’s Park production of Brigadoon).

After sold-out shows at 54 Below, New York and following their smash hit Edinburgh Festival fling, the artists formerly known as Frankie & Beausy bring their wonderfully acclaimed show back to Crazy Coqs.

Together, with their crackin’ band, they celebrate their quirky romance in a touchingly funny song cycle – from Brigadoon to Broadway and from Scotland to Sondheim via Costello, Bacharach, The Proclaimers and more.

Expect love, laughter and yet more tartan.

“The Scot & the Showgirl have crafted a sophisticated, wickedly funny, and wildly madcap sort of song cycle, a kind of a ballet, something akin to a poetry slam or a suite. They are a dream couple and a dream team.”Broadwayworld

“The Scot and the Showgirl contains two very talented performers at the top of their game. Bowman shines with some goofy comedy and also delivers a heartfelt, gender-swapped take on “Happy to Keep Her Dinner Warm” from How to Succeed. Ruffelle proves her musical theatre legend status with her thrilling rock belt, one of those singular voices that really just doesn’t sound quite like anyone else on earth.”Playbill
