Every Friday and Saturday, following the 9.15PM ticketed event earlier that night, our distinctive cabaret space will play host to this late-night music show.

With a different band each day, playing from around 11.00pm until 12.30am, the diverse line-up will champion the likes of Blues, Jazz, Swing, Cuban, Calypso, Americana, African Highlife and everything in between.

Please do not book tickets. This show is completely free of charge with no reservation required. Entry will be on a first come, first served basis.

Strange Cargo is a new band fronted by singer guitarist Laurence Corns who is equally at home in the 1930s swing style as he is playing Mbira music from Zimbabwe. Comprising Soothsayer horns Idris Raman and Robin Hopcraft, the innovative guitar sound of Jon Gingel, Tom Mason and Saleem Raman on bass and drums respectively you can expect three part harmonies, grooves from all over the African continent, colourful horn arrangements, interlocking guitar patterns all wrapped up into songs that reflect the London background of all the musicians and make the sound ultimately really quite English. You won't find another band that sounds like these guys, they are a truly Strange Cargo.'
