PAUL RYAN AND THE KENNY CLAYTON TRIO: BLAME IT ON MY YOUTH

Paul Ryan and The Kenny Clayton Trio celebrate the recent release of their debut album, Blame It On My Youth, with two shows at Crazy Coqs.

Vocalist Ryan (a favourite of the late Jack Massarik) and pianist Clayton, musical director for Matt Monro, Petula Clark and Dick Haymes, have long been Crazy Coqs favourites. They are now joined by bassist Eric Guy and percussionist Mike "Ozzie" Osborn for these very special dates which will feature songs from the album as well as other standards, popular and rare, drawn mainly from the Great American Songbook. Their vast repertoire means that no two shows are ever the same and there are always a few surprises, so if you enjoy Gershwin, Porter, Arlen and the rest, and you like your jazz smooth and swinging (with a large dose of infectious humour), this is your perfect night out.

"Ryan sings with a knowledge and understanding of nuances and wit of the great lyricists…Clayton is a gifted jazz pianist… adept and sensitive… with a wry humour" - Jazzwise Magazine
