In association with Women by Wise and Vital Digression
A special evening of music and conversation about death, loss and saying the wrong thing.
Singer Kate Dimbleby & Naadia Sheriff (piano) in conversation with actress Rebecca Peyton and award-winning writer Cathy Rentzenbrink.
Dimbleby, Rentzenbrink and Peyton are all solo artists - telling personal stories through music, theatre and books. But they share a common interest. For one night only, they join together to sing, talk and laugh their way through the darkness.
Peyton says she doesn't want to ruin Rentzenbrink's recovery from her bereavement, Rentzenbrink says she has never met anyone closer to death than herself till she met Peyton and Dimblebyis wondering what she can bring to the party (apart from some great songs and the wonderful pianist Sheriff)…
As the evening progresses they reach across the darkened spaces between us all tickling the scary bits of life until they laugh and we laugh too.
Dimbleby's new album release Songbirds has been hailed as "ground-breaking... An artist at the top of her game" (Radio 6 Music). Rentzenbrink's new book A Manual for Heartache has just been released as a follow up to her award-winning memoir The Last Act of Love. Peyton's one-woman show Sometimes I laugh like my Sister is touring worldwide.
"A reminder of how absurdly precious life is" - The Times
"Rentzenbrink offers a message of enormous hope for anybody who is going through loss, grief or trauma" - The Sunday Times
