Kurt Weill was one of the greatest theatre showmen of his day. He wrote music of biting satire and wit, with stories of cruel, calculating women, reaping revenge on the politics of war-torn Europe. Chanteuse, Taylor Wilson, brings her 1930's Berliner Cabaret to life with her multiinstrumentalist band The Schadenfreudes.
His genius endures with classics - from Mack the Knife, Pirate Jenny and Alabama to September Song - sewn together in a tale of romance, rejection and revenge. All told through the eyes of the many 'Jenny' characters that Weill and Brecht created in their wild Volksbühne theatre.
