This intimate show will take you on a journey, exploring some of Sandra's favourite songs from the worlds of soul, blues, jazz and musical theatre. Along the way she'll pay tribute to artists such as Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Dinah Washington, Kate Bush and Ray Charles, as well as musicals including Hairspray and City Of Angels. Special guests include Rebecca Trehearn and Edward Baruwa.
Sandra was Kate Bush's backing vocalist in her ground-breaking "Before The Dawn" concerts at the Eventim Hammersmith Apollo and appears on her newly released album "Before The Dawn Live".
She has also worked with many other artists, including Liam Gallagher, Tim Burgess and The Charlatans, featuring on their recent album "Modern Nature" and joined them on tour. She has performed at The Royal Albert Hall, The Roundhouse, Ronnie Scott's, BBC Radio 2 and the BBC Radio 6 Music Live Festival.
Sandra has an expansive track record in the theatre world and returns to the West End in March, appearing in the star-studded cast of Stepping Out. She also played the leading role of "Queenie" in the critically acclaimed "Showboat" (West End). She previously starred as "Matron Mama Morton" in Chicago and "Miss Motormouth Maybelle" in Hairspray (Original West End cast and UK tours) and joined Michael Ball OBE on his "If Everyone Was Listening" and "Heroes" UK tours as a guest artist.
