The European Premiere of Ryan Scott Oliver's We Foxes comes to Live At Zédel this September in this one-night-only concert reading.
A southern Gothic thriller set in small-town Missouri, 1945. It tells the story of Willa, a tough and unmannered orphan girl, and her adoption by the crafty Sheriff's wife, Vesta Quimby. When Willa discovers the dark secrets beneath the floorboards, a war cuts them apart and Willa must fight to survive…
Can Willa discover her own salvation, deliver herself into courage, and sacrifice everything to escape Vesta?
The first part in the Dogs Trilogy, We Foxes is the winner of the New Horizons Musical Theatre Festival Award. The piece was commissioned by Broadway Across America, and previously developed with Goodspeed Musicals, Pace New Musicals, Village Theatre Festival of New Musicals, and the York Theatre.
This production coincides with the production of Ryan's 35mm: Musical Exhibition at The Other Palace.
Ryan Scott Oliver is the winner of a Larson Grant, Rodgers Award, New Musicals Awards from Weston Playhouse, Pace University, and the recipient of a Lortel Award Nomination as well as numerous fellowships, residencies and ASCAP awards.
