"Ray Shell has been a fixture in West End musicals for more than 30 years now, from Starlight Express (in which he created the role of Rusty in its 1984 stage premiere) to The Bodyguard. But there's nothing rusty about his thrilling vocal talents... As he takes occasional neat swigs from a bottle of honey, his voice sounds as if it has been coated in the warm, sweet flavour." The Stage
Ray Shell's West End career has embraced starring roles in many of the greatest West End musicals of the past 30 years, from Hair and Starlight Express to The Lion King and The Bodyguard.
Earlier this year Ray wowed the critics and his audiences with his stunning London cabaret debut, earning him a clutch of 5 and 4 star reviews.
Now he is back for two evenings with BACK 2 BLACKII, a show that features Ray's distinctive interpretation of well-known songs from musicals including Sweeney Todd to Miss Saigon and current Broadway hit Kinky Boots. Featuring songs from his pop career, as well as a few new surprises.
