The New Generation Festival presents a touring production of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas. With up and coming young singers and a small orchestral ensemble, this short opera will take you on a journey through ancient Carthage and Virgil's Aeneid.

The performance is conducted by festival co-founder Maximilian Fane. Georgia Ginsberg sings the famous role of Dido, which includes the enduringly popular aria, When I am Laid in Earth. One of the great English operas, Purcell's masterpiece was first performed in 1689.
