1st – 7th April – Django Reinhardt Sessions with Harry Diplock
Guitarist Harry Diplock brings together some of the UKs most exciting jazz musicians to capture a modern take on the world of acoustic jazz. Inspired by the Parisian jazz scene and rooted in the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli the group is the culmination of over 10 years making music in the vibrant city of London.

6th + 7th April – Lunchtimes – Marama Café Band
Playing all over the UK and in Europe since 2001, the Marama Cafe Band entertain with brasserie and cafe music including French musette. Hot club jazz, swing, Argentinean tango and gypsy music from Eastern Europe. With Frank Biddulph (violin), Pete Watson (accordion) and David Ahmed (guitar)

8th – 14th April – Arifa’s Reefers
Arifa’s Reefers are a jazz band that plays swing and blues from the 1920s and 30s. The band is led by singer Arifa Hafiz, a Bangladeshi British who miraculously manages to channel the voices of great blues and jazz singers, such as Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey and Merline Johnson, whilst still sounding truly herself. She has an honest and giving spirit and she’ll be accompanied by some of London’s great specialists.

15th – 21st April – The Sunshine Kings
The Sunshine Kings, led by Graham Hughes, celebrates the best of 20’s jazz, swing and New Orleans.  The band, in various forms, has been entertaining audiences up and down the country for over 15 years now.  A mixed and varied repertoire keeps their performances entertaining and always leaves audiences wanting more.  The musicians enjoy working together to create music that is more than the sum of the individual parts – full of energy and life!  The Sunshine Kings also includes talented vocalists, singing ballads, blues, and uplifting swing numbers, and for variety even the occasional number played on a chromatic harmonica.

20th + 21st April – Lunchtimes – The Coloriage Trio – 12:30 – 3:30pm
This exciting new London-based trio pays tribute to one of Europe’s greatest living accordionists.  Over a fifty-year career, Richard Galliano has performed and recorded in a myriad of settings ranging from orchestral and big band to solo.  His musical world is a heady mix of contemporary jazz with the sounds of Parisian cafes, gypsy guitars, tango dance halls and much more.  This group honours his work through performing his small ensemble repertoire, along with similarly inspired tunes written by group members.

22nd – 28th April – Ensō Swing Band
Ensō Swing Band plays a joyful mix of early American and European jazz. This includes the songs associated with Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Django Reinhardt, Charles Trenet and others from the era. Formed by double bassist Chris Hyde-Harrison and pianist James Buckham, their infectious take on early jazz has won over fellow musicians, swing dancers and gained them plaudits from the press. Joined by vocalist Kitty Whitelaw expect sprightly tones, agile piano playing and contagiously effervescent jazz!

27th + 28th April – Lunchtimes – Olly Muxworthy Trio
With a warm bass voice reminiscent of Johnny Hartman and an enchanting playing style, jazz singer and pianist Olly Muxworthy’s captivating performances have made him a beloved figure amongst audiences in London. As a resident musician at the Savoy’s American Bar, Olly specialises in the timeless classics of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and other gems from the Great American Songbook. Beyond his jazz career, Olly is also an accomplished classical composer, earning acclaim for his compositions that have been played by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra amongst others.

29th April – 5th May – Natty Congeroo & The Flames of Rhythm
One of the leading international Swing bands, who regularly perform for major international festivals, prestigious vintage events and swing dances. Their repertoire is made up of Hot Jazz, Swing and Blues, and tunes from the golden era of the 1930’s-40’s. As well as a reputation for a hot authentic sound, the band is well known for its unique sense of style and presentation with its members dressed to the nines.

4th + 5th May – Lunchtimes – Louise Messenger
Louise Messenger is a Jazz/Contemporary vocalist originally from Australia but now based in London.
A captivating performer, Louise loves all things swing. Her greatest influences are Carmen McRae, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Keely Smith and the Boswell Sisters. As well as classic standards, she is always seeking tunes that are a little left of centre, and loves to bring back to life songs from tin pan alley and the Great American Songbook that have been forgotten in the jazz canon.

6th – 12th May – Joplin Parnell
The Joplin Parnell band play music rooted in the classic styles and genres popular between 1900 and 1940. Mixing rich turn of the century European musical traditions with bawdy American Blues and driving Swing rhythms he has devoted his career to discovering forgotten songs, verses and ways to interpret the timeless sentimental and often heart wrenching music composed in the first half of the 20th century.

11th + 12th May – Lunchtimes – Our Little Trio
Paying tribute to some of the most influential jazz trios of the 1950’s and 60’s, Our Little Trio takes its inspiration from the likes of Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson and Ahmed Jamal.
Having delved deep into the music of the period – from the hits, to rare bootlegs and everything in between – Our Little Trio play a carefully curated repertoire of some of the most rhythmically and melodically compelling jazz of the 20th century.

13th – 19th May – The Clock Winders
‘The Clock Winders’ turn back time with a nostalgic repertoire of swing, jazz and acoustic country music. Joyous vocal harmonies, bouncing upright bass and mellifluous bop guitar combine to create an enchanting old timey show perfect for bringing out your inner hepcat. Make time with ‘The Clock Winders,’ featuring the vocals and acoustic guitar of Nina Clark, Sam Dunn on electric guitar, and Ben Somers on vocals and upright bass.

18th + 19th May – Lunchtimes – Hot Strings Review
Dubbed as: “One of the best jazz fiddlers anywhere…” by the New York Times, Mike Piggott has carved out a succesful dual career as a recording artist and one of Britain’s finest Swing Jazz fiddle players. During his career, Mike has worked with the likes of Bert Jansch and Ralph Mctell, Peter Green and Denny Laine, and John Etheridge, Martin Taylor and Bucky Pizzarelli.

20th – 26th May – Fifi La Mer
Oh La La! is a charming and sophisticated quartet playing French music from Offenbach to Gainsbourg, as well as a selection of 20s upbeat and 50s cool jazz. Parisian born Fifi la Mer sings in both French and English, and plays the chromatic accordion; Alex Garnett or Oliver Wilby plays the clarinet and tenor saxophone; Curtis Volp the guitar and Julian Bury the double bass. Authentic French music at its best!

25th + 26th May – Lunchtimes – Marama Café Band

27th May – 2nd June – Hot Club Of Jupiter
A Unique mix of gypsy swing, hot jazz and songs of middle—class angst and caddish behaviour. Intrepid adventurer violinist Kit Massey has performed all over the globe, playing with the Santiago Philamonia, Chile and studying Karnatic violin traditions in Mysore, India. Christian Miller is a much sort-after exponent of French and American guitar styles often headhunted by visiting international bandleaders. They are joined by Rory Dempsey (double bass) and Matt French (drums) to create the infectious swing of the Hot Club of Jupiter’s sound.

1st + 2nd June- Lunchtimes – The London Django Collective
The London Django Collective was born out of the desire to create a local and innovative forum for musicians influenced by the musical legacy of Django Reinhardt.
Remaining in the spirit of Django, whilst pushing the genre of gypsy jazz forward into the vibrant London jazz scene the London Django Collective have a vision of true progression for the style whilst nodding to the great musicians who came before them.

8th – 12th July – The Travelling Janes
The Traveling Janes are a band of woman from five countries who specialise in vibrant old time jazz and blues.
Their aim to spread the joyful music that emerged in the prohibition era – just as the original ‘janes’ of the southern railroads and traveling tent shows of the 1920s.

3rd – 9th June – Caroline and The Bellbird Boys
Channelling the spirit of the great Gatsby era, Australian led ensemble, Caroline Loftus and her Bellbird Boys bring you rapturous music from the roaring 20s and crazy 30s. Charming melodies, romance, hot jazz and foot stomping rhythm.

8th + 9th June – Lunchtimes – The Hot Dog Corn Dogs
Delightful prohibition swing from the deep south (London) serving up hot jazz with crunchy blues, crossed with tangy folk into a bite sized portion. The Hot Dog Corn Dogs give it their all every time for a thoroughly entertaining evening.

10th – 16th June – Rebecca Holweg
Hear London-born singer songwriter, Rebecca Hollweg perform alongside some of London’s leading jazz musicians. Rebecca is equally at home singing a mixture of French classics as she is performing well-known standards from the Great American Songbook, thanks to her European multilingual family background and jazz training. In recent years, she has toured the world with her own music, appeared on national radio and worked alongside musical legends, including Roger McGuinn of the Byrds and Paul Carrack.

15th + 16th June – Lunchtimes – TJ Johnson
The self-titled “King of Dirty Jazz, Backroom Swing and Rhythm and Blues”, TJ Johnson is a true ambassador of the soul singing songs of love lost and gained, of life wholesome and corrupt, of hope and despair, all with the true passion and boozy swagger of only a man who has been there and knows. TJ plays and extraordinary blend of music that transcends the boundaries of jazz, blues, soul, country and gospel and is influenced by the likes of Ray Charles, Dr John, Louis Armstrong, Johnny Cash, BB King, Nina Simone, Alberta Hunter, Jimmy Witherspoon and many more.
