Paul Bogaev is a multi award-winning music director, arranger and composer, and makes his Crazy Coqs debut in January with No Surrender, featuring the songs of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Waits.

Bogaev won a Grammy for Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida, for which he produced, orchestrated and conducted the Tony Award-winning score. He was music director on Broadway for Tarzan, Bombay Dreams, Sunset Boulevard, Aspects of Love, Chess, Les Misérables, Starlight Express and Cats. He was also brought in to "doctor" Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.

For his work on film, Bogaev won a Grammy as executive producer of the soundtrack to the Oscar-winning film Chicago. His movie musicals include Nine, Across The Universe, Dreamgirls, Connie And Carla, The Lion King, Tarzan, Mulan and The Emperor's New Groove. He earned an Emmy Award for the ABC-TV film musical Annie. He has worked with such stars as Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Richard Gere, Judi Dench, Liam Neeson, Whoopi Goldberg, and Sophia Loren, to name a few.

Bogaev wrote and produced songs for a contemporary European stage production of The Three Musketeers, which ran for four years, and recently he recorded The Gettysburg Address, accompanied on his original score by the narration of Glenn Close. He is currently the music director for Fiddler on the Roof at The Menier Chocolate Factory.
