"You better pay attention, lest the rapid-fire jokes fly over your head... there's impressive musicality, textbook timing and the deadest of deadpan deliveries in a show that's smartly scripted and well directed. Go see Luke Courtier" - The Sunday Times
Comedian, actor and writer, Luke Courtier, presents a high-octane series of musical comedy vignettes asking that vital question: what is it that really happens at Lunch? From the fashionable perils of adequate dog size, to an ill-fortuned death in Knightsbridge and the doomed travails of a duck called Susan. Song, searing relevance and that rather lovely feeling one gets when you manage to grab a hold of the very last saucisson sec in the charcuterie aisle of the Fulham Waitrose.
After a critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Festival 2016, Lunch comes to Live At Zédel this October.
Courtier was a finalist in the Musical Comedy Awards 2015 and the Amused Moose Laugh Off 2015. He has been a regular guest presenter on Fubar Radio and has made content for the Hook and Made In Shoreditch - his online videos have jointly reached over half a million views. He also wrote the music for and appeared in Lily Bevan's Pheasant Plucker at the Bush Theatre's RADAR Festival. Courtier was one of the writer's on Miniaturists 58 at the Arcola wherein his new comedy play The Texas Tax Man came to be (selling out the Vault Festival 2017 and winning the Vault Comedy Award).
