The brainchild of British singer-songwriter Joe Cang and Italian musician and composer Matteo Saggese, Loco Ironico is the collective band name for these two long time friends and musical collaborators. They return to Crazy Coqs this summer for one night only, following their last appearance in 2016.
Nourished by the warmth, peace and pace of village life, Loco Ironico's last album, Carpe Afternoon, is soaked in Italian sunshine, wine and melodies, with flavours of Tom Waits, Dr John, Randy Newman and the Buena Vista Social Club - telling tales of shipwreck, weight loss and heartache.
Cang and Saggese have been writing, producing and performing together for over 20 years. Their super catchy Make Love was play-listed for 5 weeks on BBC Radio 2 (Graham Norton/Terry Wogan), with Chris Evans comparing it to the likes of Paolo Nutini and Amy Winehouse.

"Matteo really does have a golden touch on the piano... Joe is very much like Paul Carrack, in as much as his voice is unique and a real gift, and fits many genres of music, but a soul core to it" - Blues & Soul (on Carpe Afternoon)
