Liane Carroll, is a soulful, emotive artist and one of the UK's greatest musical treasures. Her interpretations of well loved songs can move an audience to tears and to delight at her breath-taking vocal virtuosity.
London born and Hastings raised, classically trained pianist and singer Liane has enjoyed a varied career spanning more than thirty years and which has led to collaborations with some true musical greats from both the jazz world and beyond.
Her latest album Seaside, an homage to her life by the coast, won a 'British Jazz Award' for 'Best New Album' and received a Parliamentary Jazz Award nomination.
Since 1990, she has been performing with her own trio, currently comprising: Liane Carroll - Vocals/Piano (Ian Shaw, Claire Martin, Paul McCartney, London Elektricity), husband Roger Carey (Gerry Rafferty, Long John Baldry) - Electric Bass and Russell Field - drums (Barbara Dickson, Midge Ure).
