Join award-winning singer and actress Lauren Samuels to celebrate the life and songs of Burt Bacharach on his 90th birthday. Samuels has appeared previously at Crazy Coqs alongside composer Howard Goodall, and returns in May with a two-night residency. Expect to hear favourites such as I'll Never Fall In Love Again, What The World Needs Now and I Say A Little Prayer.
Samuels rose to prominence as a finalist on the BBC's Over The Rainbow and has since gone on to star in many West End productions including playing Sandy in Grease, Scaramouche in We Will Rock You, Jules in Bend It Like Beckham, and Romantics Anonymous at Shakespeare's Globe.
Joining Samuels on both nights will be Classical Brit Award Nominee, Laura Wright, and singer/songwriter, AJ Brown.
Wright has toured with tenor Alfie Boe and Russell Watson, opened the iTunes Festival for Andrea Bocelli and performed alongside Donny Osmond as part of the Children in Need Concert. She has enjoyed many performances at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Opera House (with the Royal Ballet), Wembley Stadium, Buckingham Palace, The Great Wall of China, to name a few, and became the first mezzo soprano to perform at the Olympic Stadium.
Hailing from Halifax in North Yorkshire, Brown is fast becoming recognised as one of our brightest homegrown talents. He has toured extensively as support artist for legends Burt Bacharach, Sir Tom Jones, Sir Cliff Richard, Simply Red, Jools Holland, Will Young, George Benson and many more. Following the release of his recent single, Loving Spell (penned with Sam Smith's co-writers) he has a new album and UK tour scheduled for late 2018.
