Klea Blackhurst

"If you like performers with incredible voices who are equally adept at raising the roof as they are singing a child to sleep, have I got a girl for you…Between her powerful pipes, intelligent and humorous patter, and sublime lyrical interpretations, this is a show you'll kick yourself for missing." Talkin' Broadway.com

From A Cockeyed Optimist to The Yodeling Muchacha, AN EVENING WITH KLEA BLACKHURST is a wonderful celebration of classic American popular songs, Broadway show tunes, as well as a few contemporary surprises. Klea will have you listening and laughing to the lyrics of Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, Yip Harburg, Ira Gershwin, Oscar Hammerstein, Dorothy Fields and Irving Berlin.

Actress, singer and comedienne Klea Blackhurst is one of those outrageously gifted and uplifting performers who seem to innately belong to and embody "show business" in its deepest, most glorious sense. She embodies all that was - and occasionally still is - most magical about the theatre.

Best known for her award-winning tribute to Ethel Merman, Everything The Traffic Will Allow, which among many accolades, earned Klea the inaugural Special Achievement Award from Time Out New York magazine, she's performed with symphony orchestras and in theatrical productions across the country and abroad.

Before and during the shows, cocktails, wines, champagnes and snacks are available. We would also encourage you to enjoy a meal in the Brasserie before or after a performance.
