Alongside a distinguished award winning career in television and radio mainly as a religious broadcaster, vocalist Jumoké Fashola has a dirty little secret: she loves singing risqué blues songs. Join us for JUMOKE FASHOLA'S DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS, AKA THE BLUES, as she explores raunchy and lecherous blues, from 1920s gems though to contemporary song. Ditties that are titillating and salacious, this is no show for blushing maidens. Jumoké performs with her trio and a special surprise guest.
Jumoké has sung most musical forms, from Handel to Gershwin and Gospel to Bernstein, at venues including the Royal Albert Hall and the London Arena. Her solo repertoire comprises an edgy blend of jazz, R&B and soul, eloquently expressed and dynamically delivered. Her debut album, The Condition of Being A Woman was released in 2014.
Jumoké performs as part of The London Festival of Cabaret.
