Joanna Wallfisch returns to the UK with her band for an exclusive London performance at Crazy Coqs to launch her new album, Far Away From Any Place Called Home.
Hailed by Downbeat Magazine as "an exquisite singer-songwriter" with a "sublime voice" (The Telegraph), London born Joanna Wallfisch is a unique and must-see artist. Combining elements of jazz, folk, art-song and pop, she has often been likened to Joni Mitchell. This year she elebrates the release of her fifth solo album, "Far Away From Any Place Called Home," a song-cycle that tells a haunting and majestic story of her solo travels down the west coast of the USA by bicycle. The songs, woven seamlessly together with spoken word and musical soundscapes, reflect on her profound encounters with humanity and nature, inviting the listener to travel with her on a journey both existential and viscerally real.
