Jessica Walker

"A bewitching performer…" - Charles Isherwood, The New York Times

Jessica Walker presents SONGS FOR PARIS. For one night only, let Jessica transport you across the Channel as she performs songs by Brel, Brassens, Barbara, and some rare French cabaret songs from her upcoming play at The Royal Exchange Theatre.

Although Jessica is originally from an opera background, more recently she has specialized in the writing and performance of different forms of cabaret. Her new play, All I Want is One Night, to be produced by The Royal Exchange Theatre in summer 2016, is set in the nightclub of 1930's French cabaret singer Suzy Solidor. Her previous two solo shows - Pat Kirkwood is Angry and The Girl I Left Behind Me (co-written with Neil Bartlett) - have toured internationally and to great acclaim, including performances at the Barbican, The Southbank, The Royal Exchange Theatre, the Brighton Festival, Sage Gateshead and the Brits off Broadway Festival, where both pieces were selected as the New York Times critic's 'Pick of the Week'.

Accompanied by Joseph Atkins.

Before and during the shows, cocktails, wines, champagnes and snacks are available. We would also encourage you to enjoy a meal in the Brasserie before or after a performance.
