Susana Sheiman is one of the most acclaimed jazz singers on the European scene. Born in Madrid where she had her musical training, she now lives in Barcelona. Although her career led her to perform in major international venues (New York, Paris or Rome) and top jazz festivals such as San Sebastian, Ramatuelle and Marciac, it will be her first appearance in the UK and she has elected Crazy Coqs to do so.

As a young girl, Sheiman would listen and learn from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Anita O'Day, Judy Garland, Kay Starr, Aretha Franklin, Nancy Wilson and Rachelle Ferrell. These are the great ladies who inspired and helped her create what is now her very own personal style. Indeed, the sheer quality of her voice, the intensity of her expressiveness mean that, from blues to swing through ballads and bossa novas, her performance is always a unique experience.

Alain Guiu (ex-accompanist for Charles Aznavour) will be on the piano and lead The Jazzcare Project which includes Toni Solà on tenor sax (2016 Enderrock Award for best jazz album), Manel Alvarez on bass (now established in London) and the talented Xavi Hinojosa on drums.
