Jance Litton and Martin Day

"[Janice Days is] absolutely superb!" Stephen Fry

"Janice Day has captured an era, but not under glass." Daily Telegraph

"[Martin Litton is] a soloist of genuine quality, quick to see and seize a creative opportunity." The Stage

"Litton excels as blues man, strider and swinger." Jazz Journal

Singer, cabaret arist and entertainer Janice Day joins forces with the celebrated pianist Martin Litton to perform a classic jazz cabaret of songs from the Great American Songbook, celebrating the famous and undeservedly forgotten singers of the 20s and 30s, alongside virtuosic piano solos from the repertoires of Ellington, Waller and Jelly Roll Morton.

Together Janice and Martin have a band, DANCE BAND DIVAS, performing in a theatre show of the same name. Accompanied by Martin's lovingly authentic arrangements, Janice tells the tale of the wonderful vintage female vocalists of the 1920s and 30s, including Billie Holiday, Josephine Baker, Ethel Waters and Ruth Etting. Their other show, ALL THE HELENS, is a tribute to all the jazz and dance band singers named Helen, including Helen Kane, Helen Morgan, Helen Humes and Helen Ward to name a few!

Before and during the shows, cocktails, wines, champagnes and snacks are available. We would also encourage you to enjoy a meal in the Brasserie before or after a performance.
