Issy Van Randwyck
In "BRIGHT LIGHTS AND PROMISES", Issy will be performing a diverse range of songs from both sides of the Atlantic, including songs by Fran Landesman, Janis Ian, Rodgers and Hart, Edith Piaf and Aristide Bruant.
Issy was one third of the popular cabaret group Fascinating Aida
during the 1990s, with whom she received two Olivier Award
Nominations for Best Entertainment and regularly toured the UK and
abroad . During this time she also performed at the National
Theatre in A Little Night Music and shows at the Regents
Park Open Air Theatre including Kiss Me Kate, for which
she received an Olivier Nomination for Best Supporting Performance
in a Musical. Her most recent work was in Arthur Miller's The
American Clock at The Finborough Theatre, No Naughty
Bits at the Hampstead Theatre and in Stephen Sondheim's rarely
performed musical Anyone Can Whistle at the Jermyn Street
Theatre.
Issy has also worked extensively on radio and television, most
recently starring alongside Matt Smith in Christopher and His
Kind for the BBC.
Issy toured the world with the late great Larry Adler for the last ten years of his life and together they recorded the album The Glory of Gershwin, produced by George Martin. An 80th birthday tribute to the American harmonica virtuoso, the album features artists such as Sting, Elton John, Cher, Meatloaf, Courtney Pine and Lisa Stanfield.
Musical Director - Sarah Travis. As well as working with Fascinating Aida. Sarah has played piano for Julian Clary, Lily Savage, Barb Jungr, Alvin Stardust, The Drop Dead Divas and Shona White, and remains the only woman to win a Tony Award for Best Orchestrations on her production of Sweeney Todd on Broadway.
