Multi-Award winning singer, Ian Shaw, fuses the words and music of two of popular music's chameleonic, genius giants, Joni Mitchell and the much missed David Bowie.
Traversing the mammoth back catalogue of these legendary artists, this unmissable show returns to Crazy Coqs following the success last summer. It's a highly personal journey from the endless summers of the early seventies and New York's East Village to "our own ideals" of love, hope and the endless presence of the darker truths of recent times. This promises to be a highly charged evening of tears, laughter... and simply great songwriting.
"Shaw is almost too talented for his own good... a brilliant vocal chameleon" - The Telegraph
"Great jazz singers, like great comedians, are masters of timing. Shaw is a virtuoso of both disciplines, balancing standup and concert gigs, speaks to the breadth of his genius and to the singularity of his style as a singer" - Jazz Times (USA)
Following this performance, guests are welcome to stay on for our late-night music show, 'Round Midnight. Free of charge from around 11pm until 12.30am. For more information see www.brasseriezedel.com/news/round-midnight-at-crazy-coqs or speak to your host on the night.
