Broadway historian and pianist Dominic McHugh presents a selection of overlooked gems from the Golden Age of the MGM musical. Join West End performers Alex Young, Rebecca Collingwood and Scott Hayward as they perform little-known songs by the likes of Cole Porter and Irving Berlin and rarely-heard numbers from Les Girls, The Barkleys of Broadway and Ziegfeld Follies.

Dominic McHugh is known as one of the world's leading authorities on the Broadway and Hollywood musical, with seven books including The Letters of Cole Porter and Adapting The Wizard of Oz: Musical Versions from Baum to MGM and Beyond. He has worked as an advisor to numerous productions including the Sydney Opera House's revival of My Fair Lady directed by Julie Andrews.

In this first instalment of a new series of programmes of lesser-known songs from the American songbook he'll present some overlooked gems from the MGM catalogue sung by three versatile performers: Alex Young (Standing at the Sky's Edge, Crucible; Me and My Girl, Chichester; Follies, NT; Carousel, ENO; Show Boat, West End), Rebecca Collingwood (Much Ado About Nothing & Love's Labours Lost, RSC/Haymarket/Chichester, Mallory Towers, Bristol Old Vic) and Scott Hayward (Pippin, Southwark Playhouse & Hope Mill; Joseph, Kilworth House).
