Melissa Cantzlaar passed away on the 23 March 2018, aged 47. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2013 with a further diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer that had spread to her brain, in October 2015. Throughout her life she had a remarkable joie de vivre. She was loved by many and her smile lit up rooms.

She loved jazz and was a regular at Crazy Coqs' monthly Open Mic Party. Tonight's show will be a celebration of Melissa's life and the love she spread to all she met. Host, Harold Sanditen, will lead the festivities with more than 20 guests singing tributes to Melissa, backed by Michael Roulston on piano, Robert Rickenberg on bass and Jonathan "Kitch" Kitching on drums.

During her illness, Melissa found great comfort from Breast Cancer Care, and all proceeds from tonight's show will be donated to the charity in Melissa's honour.
